Update on the New Jersey American Water acquisition of Egg Harbor City Water & Sewer Utility – Effective June 1, 2023
After two years of due diligence, legal reviews and regulatory agencies’ approvals, the sale of Egg Harbor City’s water and wastewater systems to New Jersey American Water will be completed on June 1.
Once the sale is completed, residents will receive information in the mail from New Jersey American Water within about a week to help facilitate a smooth transition. In the meantime, if you have any questions or need assistance, you can get information via a dedicated webpage on the company’s website, www.newjerseyamwater.com/EggHarborCity, or by calling 1-800-272-1325.
Egg Harbor City residents will be able to take advantage of the company’s many customer service benefits, including online account management and billing information and an assistance program, H2O Help to Others, for qualifying customers needing help paying their water and sewer bills.

**Please note a final usage bill will be mailed the week of May 29, 2023 and will be due to Egg Harbor City by July 1, 2023. Any past due balances from prior to June 1 will still be due to the City. **
